No-drop or beginner-level road rides near south Loop and Bronzeville?

At a Sox game the other week, I met a friend of the friend who had taken me and talked to him about cycling for a bit. He recently got into road riding and is interested in a club ride or shop ride near him. He lives on Indiana in the historic district, around 17th st. Can anyone suggest a no-drop or beginner group ride? His pace is 15-18mph.
