I freakin' love Glen.  Love love love. Going to see him Sunday at Metro and again

Monday. Can't imagine what would justify not going to see him for free on Monday night.

We're thinking of going..

Free is good
Free Hansard concert is better

I never heard this guy, and I never did see Once despite (in spite of?) all the praise.

Is it for old white people or what?

Thanks for sharing. Awesome.

Not at all.  White people of all ages enjoy Glen Hansard.

Funniest (and yet accurate) line on the Chainlink, perhaps ever.

The Sharon Van Etten / Speck Mountain concert on Monday at the Pritzker was pretty great. It was well attended, but not packed like I'm guessing the Hansard show will be. Get there early if you want a seat with a view of the stage. I pretty much detest the legacy of Mayor Daley, but I have to give him a bit of credit for making Millennium Park happen.

Indeed.  Keep an eye/ear open for a new Speck Mountain LP in a few months; it's great.

It was not hard to find pavillion seats at the Glen Hansard and Low show in 2011.... but I suspect his popularity has been slowly snowballing.  The Metro concert on June 10 sold out kind of a long time ago....

So if I consistently check "other" on forms asking me of my ethnicity, can I enjoy some Hansard? JK

I just listened to a song on youtube. It's not really my kind of thing but I can tell that he is talented. Going to go get lost in my Edith Piaf and Noel Coward records.

If you purchase a guest pass as a white person, yes.
