The Chainlink

I had one of those Kryptonite Forgettaboutit chain locks, the big one, and the moisture in the storage room has rusted the damn thing shut. Any tips on getting my chain back?

They actually have other uses beyond bike theft . . . most recently I used one to slice off old nails while replacing the top of a picnic table, and prior to that I trimmed the openings on a few doorjam plates to allow the deadbolt and handle latch to line up.

I already had the POC Ryobi One+ suite so adding a cordless angle grinder was only $40.

For God's sake, Howard, what are you doing with an angle grinder?

Doesn't everyone own an angle grinder?  Next to a hand drill it's probably one of handiest power tools I have around the house.

In fact, I use it so much I almost thought about picking one of these up -but It takes up more room that I don't have.

I need an angle grinder and probably will be buying one soon. If I have to cut the lock sooner than expected. But we'll see just used some liquid wrench on the lock and gonna wait an hour. See if that works and if not do it a couple more times. If it don't work then I'll consider the archiving the cut thing.
