The Chainlink

I just bought the pannier from VO, and on the third day of use, the seams on the leather strip (on the back of the pannier, toward the bottom), came undone, exposing the metal bar. The bar got caught in the stays of my rear rack + fenders, bending them, and also got caught in my spokes while I was riding, bringing me to an abrupt stop on the road. Not fun.

Has anyone else had a problem with this bag? I'm on the fence of getting a replacement, or just trying a different brand altogether… maybe I just got a bad one?

VO is well known for there outstanding customer service. I'd call or email them first. I'm sure they'll set you straight.
Miss F,

I have had no problems with any VO stuff. And, I am certain they would want to replace the bag, or offer you a credit toward any of the others they carry, though the ostrich is the most handsome. BTW, followed the progress on your bike and LOVE it. jealous? Me? yes.
