Can I borrow/rent a bike from you (for a 5'10 lady) for July 11-15?

I have a bike you can borrow.  I'm near lawrence and Austin.  It's a ladies roadmaster 20ish speed.

5'11 lady here, with a giant cypress hybrid.  I'll need it on the 11th, but you could borrow it Sat-Mon.  I live up in Lakeview (Waveland and Pine Grove Ave).  You could pick it up on Friday night (I'll need it to get to/from work).

I once saw someone lend a bike on CL, and the bike got stolen, because they left it unlocked temporarily.  If you borrow it, I humbly request that you lock it up like a prisoner in a dungeon!

That was me.  Good news is he replaced it with a better folder than I had originally lent him.  It's about goodwill and trusting of humanity I'd say, nothing more, nothing less....

Thanks ladies! It probably makes the most sense for me to borrow Christine's bike since it's much closer to where I'll be staying. Will you need it for work on Monday? My flight isn't until Monday evening and the friend I'm staying with might be leaving to go out of town on Monday so that's the day I'll likely want to use it the most.

Also, I'll definitely bring my U-lock with me and keep the bike very safe and sound.

Usually, yes.  But fortuitously my boyfriend is going to be town for three days, and he doesn't have a bike so we will be driving/using the CTA.

I don't know if I'll be around when it's time to return the bike.  The building I'm in has indoor bike storage.  I can give you the set of spare keys for my place.  You can then put the bike in storage, and leave the bike lock key/apartment key in my apartment.  I would say the mailbox, but I don't think the bike lock key fits in the mail slot.
