In the news doing the right thing letting a torture victim finally mount a legitimate defense after over 30 years in prison. This has nothing to do with Bobby Cann.

Six years ago, let's not forget...

In the early evening of May 29, 2013, after partying in Wrigleyville, San Hamel was driving his Mercedes downtown on Clybourn at about 60 mph, twice the speed limit, when he slammed into Cann, 26, who was biking north on Larrabee on his way home from his job at Groupon. The impact severed the cyclist’s left leg, and he died soon afterward. When San Hamel’s blood was drawn more than three hours later, he was still found to have a blood alcohol level of .15 percent, nearly twice the legal limit.

Did San Hamel get his drivers license back? Did he get his car back?  Did he pay the fine for funeral expenses?

Pity his victim didn't live to be a pillar of his community.

Linkin profile https://www.linkedin.com/in/rsanhamel does not show a job from 2008-2017 other than a baseball league, then in 2017-2018 he is working in Chicago, Nebraska, and Florida at the same time.  Hard to think he can get cabs in Nebraska as need.

Didn't you read that he was "continuing to be a pillar in my community"? Being a pillar is full-time work!

We must all remember to vote out Judge William H. Hooks in 2022.
