The Chainlink

Since I am just joining and we are all basically new here. I was just wondering what everyone rides here. I always recognize the bike before the person, just wondering if I saw some of you guys around on the road.

I ride the following, depending on my mood...
-Specialized 2009 Langster Road Bike with flip flop hub (fixed), carbon fiber fork and seat post
-Nirve Pyro Cruiser with Nexus Planetary Gear: 3 Gears..
-Custom Lowrider Stretch Cruiser with Apehanger bars and banana seat (Single Coaster Gear)

Piks of each are all on my page if you wanna lookie.

What do you ride?

I've got a rear rack too. And a trunk bag! And a water bottle holder (the other one broke)! Form/funktion!

Touring bikes will be the next big thing. I'm usually 1-2 years ahead of the hipsters.
I can see that, they are popping up in all the bike mags and they are hoooooot. I could never be a hipster, I can't grow facial hair.

yip, know what you mean ... i got all mine over the summer - three of them are racked and panniered. really convenient for lugging library books, groceries and the random canine :) i think i ruined my credit in three months - and i don't see light at the end of the tunnel, since now i'm hooked on the british bicycle magazines (total bike porn, cause i can never ever afford those machines!). The san jose is awesome when i don't have to pick up anything cause it is so damn light - the other ones are a bit more hefty with all the accessories added on them.
yeah one of my bikes is close to 40 lbs! my road bike I can carry down the stairs with one hand. fabulous.

I don't have a trunk bag, but I almost always ride with a single pannier, but I'll break out the second one if I'm gonna go shopping or something.

I've also got a water bottle cage and a cyclocomputer. Oh, and a frame mounted lock.

It's a pretty sweet ride...though it is rather heavy. When I did my bike salute I needed help getting it overhead and even then it was hard to keep it up. Looking back at the picture, I should have taken off the lock and the water bottle.

Next year I'm hoping to get the front rack and some more panniers and do some loaded touring.
Corrine- I really like those Masi Speciale Cx's. they so gorge ass
