Description

Captital Off Road Pathfinders (CORP) has worked years to build CamRock Park into one of the gems of mountain biking in Wisconsin. CORP is the IMBA-affiliated volunteer organization that builds and maintains all of the off-road cycling trails in Dane County. The Battle of CamRock will be a race to remember; there will be improvements to the race course, the King of the Mountain Challenge, a completely new kids race course and a festival atmosphere. Bring the family and prepare for a day of fun for all. Or come for the KMC King of the Mountain Challenge and make a weekend of it with onsite camping or lodging right in town.

The trail system at CamRock is an awesome blend of wide and fast flowing single-track that runs through open fields of prairie grass, wooded single-track with bermed turns, and more technical single-track with a touch of roots and rocks. The Battle of CamRock course will be fun and challenging for all levels, Citizen to Elite, fun single-track, great downhill, feed zones and of course the sprint to the finish.

The beautiful CamRock Parks will again be the hosting venue for The Battle of CamRock. The Event Staff has exciting plans for a refreshed expo layout, enhanced viewing for the race course, and the new kid’s race course will be really special. Like us on Facebook to keep up on the latest progress (facebook.com/BattleOfCamrock). As plans solidify we will update on our website (battleofcamrock.com) and Facebook. All riders on the mountain bike trails in Dane County Parks are required to carry a valid 2015 Trail Pass. We will have a Special Event parks pass rate for those that need it.

A mountain biking journey along the hills of the Koshkonong Creek. The start is a dash to the top, climbing for a half mile through the vendor area followed by lots of fast fun as racers negotiate trail characterized by its varied topography and beautiful landscape. Citizen and Juniors courses are less technical with significantly less climbing. The Sport course takes it up a notch and the Comp/Elite course adds even more technical challenge and climbing.
