Tiny Fix Bar Night

Tiny Fix is a scrappy gang of petite velopedestriennes who ride fixed gear bikes that look like they were built for eight-year-old hipsters, drink beer, fight dirty, plan events for cyclists of all sizes & riding styles, and wear dance floors down to the dirt. We want to do these things with you.

Our first event is a bar night at one of our favorite tiny local watering holes that will end with a short, three mile group ride to the best monthly dance night in town.

TINY FIX, SMALL BAR: Small Bar Logan: 2956 N. Albany: 6:50pm-11:30pm: We’ll be holding it down at one of the most laid-back bars in Logan starting at 6:50C (GET IT GET IT oh god kill me now). Come out, drink a craft beer, eat some deep-fried cheese curds, shoot the breeze, meet the gang.

This is a social event, not a PBS membership drive; but as we’re just starting out, we’re especially interested in talking to people who are interested with partnering with us. Tiny Fix membership is open to all women, tiny or not, who ride bikes and are motivated to help us plan events, keep the blog updated, and generally be awesome. Not a lady? We still need you-to run checkpoints, publicize events, and flirt with shamelessly. Already have your own plate full? Tiny Fix wants to help you make your next race/fundraiser/etc even more awesome. WINDY CITY SOUL CLUB: The Empty Bottle: 1035 N Western Ave: 11:00pm-2:00am: At ten thirty, we’re going to round everyone willing, able, and awesome up to ride the whole THREE MILES to The Bottle for Soul Club, which requires $5 and 21+ ID for admission. If you’re unable to make the first portion of the evening, meet us here.

If you’re not familiar with WCSC, it’s a monthly dance party and sweaty hot mess with an excellent mix of throwback soul tunes. Run into your ex, do the mashed potato with a stranger, trick your friend into doing a shot of Malort, get PBR spilled all over you, and hit the dancefloor so hard you have to replace your SPD cleats the next day.

THE FINE PRINT: Tiny Fix is not your mom. (Not that that would be a bad thing; your mom’s pretty hot). We are absolutely not responsible for your personal safety. We frown on getting sloppy drunk and acting a fool, and we smile upon lights and helmets. When we ride together, we ride with traffic, not against it. We’re stopping at red lights, staying together, and letting cars pass, like the cool kids. Word.
