Description

Come meet up and spread the word about the importance of 'Looking'.

This will be our first School Day morning blitz.  Meet at the corner of Grace and Southport at 730am.  Our goal is to pass out flyers to all of the cars dropping off their kids in the morning at Blaine Elementary.

If I find out that they start school at a different time I will adjust our start up accordingly.  I am assuming school starts at 8am hence the 730am meet up time.

If this changes I will post the new info.

See you all there!

Just checked the Blaine web site for deets on car drop-offs--7:30 on Southport near Grace looks right:

Q: What are the Blaine School hours?

A: Our school day is from 8:00-3:00 for K-8th. Students may enter the school building at 7:30 a.m.

Kindergarten – 8th: 8:00am – 3:00pm
Tuition-based Preschool (TBPK): 7:30am – 6:00pm
Preschool For All (PFA) AM: 8:00am – 10:40am
Preschool For All (PFA) PM: 12:20pm – 3:00pm

Q: Where do I drop off my child and pick up my child?

A: For the 2012-2013 information on drop-off and pick-up locations, please click here.

Q: What is Kiss-N-Go?

A:   For the 2012-2013 school year, Kiss N’ Go is a parent volunteer-supervised service allowing parents of students Grade 1-8 to drop off their children curb-side on Southport from 7:35 until 2nd bell @ 8am. Traveling south on Southport, parents will be able to drop off their children in the Kiss N’ Go lane located on the west side of Southport between the school parking lot and Grace Street. The children then will proceed to enter the school beginning at 7:30 at the double doors on Grace if they are interested in participating in the free breakfast program in the cafeteria. Or will stay on Blaine Field until school is open. Our primary concern is the safety of the children. With everyone’s cooperation this plan should work smoothly.

Also, please do not park on Grace Street. You will be ticketed. This area needs to be free of cars due to the number of children entering the school.  Kindergarten parents please park elsewhere and walk to Blaine. Kindergarten will enter the double doors located on the west side of the building on Grace. Benches will be placed inside for the children’s use as they wait for their teachers.
