Description

Join us this Sunday for the monthly Hyde Park Kidical Mass! This is a slow, family-friendly, group bike ride, where kids can ride their own bikes or on their parents' bikes, and meet other kids and families that like to bike. It's fun to see all the different solutions that families use to get around on bikes!

We'll ride 3-4 miles through Hyde Park and the surrounding neighborhoods. The ride typically lasts about an hour. Each month we start just outside the playlot at Harold Washington Park, and ride 

to a different kid-friendly destination. We ride on the street for most of the ride, in a safe and legal way, and it's a good opportunity to learn about urban biking with your family, and how that might work for you and does work for other local families.

We are still finalizing the route, but will post it as the ride approaches. We are currently planning on ending the ride at the Midway Plaisance. Bring a picnic, and we can eat together, and then see some jazz at the Hyde Park Jazz Festival, starting at 1 pm (http://hydeparkjazzfestival.org/schedule/)

We will meet up at Harold Washington Park between 10:30 and 11, and head out on our bikes at 11 am. We hope to see you there!
