Description

The 2012 Hazon Cross-USA ride is coming to Chicago!  This summer, 20 bicyclists are riding from Seattle to DC to promote sustainable food systems and raise funds for innovative projects.

Join us for a segment of the cross-country ride departing from Chicago on July 30th: 10 days to Pittsburgh or nearly three weeks to Washington, DC!  For more information, visit www.hazon.org/crossusa or contact crossusa@hazon.org, 212-644-2332 ext. 332.

Hazon, meaning vision, is the largest Jewish-based environmental non-profit organization in North America.  We create transformative experiences, including multi-day bike rides across Israel and the US, in California and New York.

As the Cross-USA Ride stops in Chicago, join us for a series of hands-on learning events on food and agriculture.

July 26 - Spend the afternoon at Pushing the Envelope Farm in Geneva making homemade cheese, artisanal bread, crunchy dill pickles, and a pitcher full of homebrewed beer – all thanks to the wonders of fermentation.  Bring a potluck vegetarian lunch to share.  We will tour the small, family-run non-profit farm and have a chance to meet the goats, Bagel and Miso.
