Description

Cyclists interested in a sustainable future, join us at Bioneers, Nov 2-4 at UIC (Student Center East, 750 South Halsted St.)

Arrive via the Halsted St. bike lane.  (Or CTA: #8 bus or Blue Line to UIC-Halsted.)  Ample bike parking is available around the Student Center. 

Join Lee Ravenscroft & Kathleen McCarthy of Working Bikes, John Edel (The Plant and Chicago Sustainable Manufacturing Center), Nance Klehm (ecological systems designer and permacultural grower), Kath Duffy, Lars Soderkvist and Jessica Weisbach (Dill Pickle Co-op), David Arfa, Terry Edlin, Eddie Vogel and Sarah Kaplan (various housing co-ops and intentional communities including Stone Soup, Su Casa, The HUB, and New Community Vision) James Thwinda & Leah Fried (worker-owned co-operatives), and many more.

Plus, Vandana Shiva (ecofeminist, author, and Right Livlihood Award Recipient), Starhawk (Earth Activist Training, author, and leader in Earth-based Spirituality), and Mark Lakeman (City Repair Portland) are traveling here to share their ideas with us.
