Description

We're expecting thousands of people at the Chicago Bike Swap on Saturday, March 9, 2013.

The new space at UIC’s Physical Education Building in the West Loop is even bigger than last year’s, and will feature vendors, presentations and entertainment.

Leave a bike you want to sell and your cell phone number at the bike corral. We’ll call you when someone’s ready to buy, while you check out the rest of the event.

There will be bike safety activities for kids, presentations on bike advocacy and chances to see bike tricks!

Tickets are $10. Active Trans members and UIC i-card holders get in for $5.

Are you a bike shop, business, bike club, bike team or individual with lots of bikes, parts or gear you want to sell? We've got great deals on half-tables, tables and booths!

My first bike swap, Chicago style. What is a Harlem Shake?

We have to be strict otherwise people get lax and the event looks sloppy..we'll have plenty of volunteers to help out, hopefully that works! Ethan Spotts, Active Trans

Po Campo is going to be having a clearance sale at the Swap. Factory seconds and discontinued prices up to 75% off, while supplies last. Need to make room for new stuff!

Hey all, looks like we got enough volunteers for the Swap.  Come say hi though!

Yeah Ethan, I did, just hope that we can all set up in time, the time frame is a bit limited for individuals. The terms are a somewhat Draconian if you don't get set up in time.

Kevin, did you get the vendor load-in email with all the instructions and parking details? Thanks, Ethan Spotts, Active Trans

What is the scoop for vendor parking, I reserved a 6 foot table and 3 bike stall spaces, do we pay for parking? Also will there be a list that someone will have, as my helper is coming separately?
