The Friends of the Cal-Sag Trail are joining Director St. Pierre, local officials and VIPs for a plunge into the Cal-Sag Channel on August 27 to showcase the stunning transformation of the Southland's river over the last 12 years from a misused and maligned dump to a safe and sustainable ecosystem, a powerful economic development engine, and an all-ages path to a higher quality of life.

Twenty-two mayors, officials and area leaders are taking the plunge and raising money to finish the next 13 miles of the Cal-Sag Trail, and to maintain and improve what's already built.
