Bike & Dine, Lockport!—Autumn Cruise

Holy trilogies! Bike & Dine Lockport, Autumn Cruise on September 22, 2012 is Mainstreet Lockport’s third and final tour this year of great food and beautiful cycling along the national landmark I&M Canal Trail.

The 20 mile loop from August’s Bike & Dine returns, letting riders explore the National Heritage Corridor from Joliet to the Centennial Trail with snack stops at beautiful Dellwood Park and historical Isle a la Cache near Romeoville. Plus the Autumn Cruise features an exclusive 30 mile option for the farther, faster crowd.

For Autumn Cruise, we’ll sample dining fare from Raw Vegan Cafe, Heritage Pizza, the landmark Gaylord building’s Public Landing, and finish it off with ice cream from Cool Creations. A glorious Autumn day!

The funds we raise will help Main Street Lockport improve connections between the I&M Canal Trail and the merchants, parks, and historical sites that make Lockport a town worth visiting. And they’ll also benefit Trails for Illinois, as we work to connect Illinois communities to an interconnected network of non-motorized trails.
