Description

For the first time, there's a bike option for the Beverly-Morgan Park spring home tour.  Bike racks will be available at the start location and at each tour stop. All stops are within a 2.5 mile radius of the start location.  There may be a little hill climbing, but the distance is easy.

The tour features interior tours of five unique homes: a 1934 Colonial designed by Murray Hetherington (an architect of many beautiful Beverly houses), a 1941 Colonial Revival with an interior that blends traditional and modern styles, an English Tudor, a hilltop Prairie Craftsman designed by H.H. Waterman (who designed some exceptional Beverly houses), and a 1925 Tudor mansion.  There is a wide variety of fine architecture in the neighborhood.  If you take your time and enjoy the scenery, you're likely to see many amazing houses and gardens along the way, in addition to the tour stops.

The tour starts at the Beverly Arts Center.  It's easy to get there from downtown via the Metra Rock Island Line or a slightly longer trip via CTA (red line and 112 bus).

You can buy tickets in advance through the BAPA web site, or at some of the neighborhood businesses in Beverly and Morgan Park.
