One year they had to cancel the ride. We had about 9 or 10" fall the night before and the streets were a mess.  I was asking myself how stupid it would be to ride when I opened the cancellation e-mail.  Lets hope your whether elves have the correct forecast.

Sounds good to me too!
See you there :)

Although it might be nice to have snow for a Toys for Tots ride, I think the present 10 day forecast for December 14 sounds perfect!  No chance of precipitation with the day starting in the upper 20s going up to mid 30s.  Hope to see many of you there!

Lisa, I would suggest board games that require thinking like "Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader," or "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire," or "Wheel of Fortune, as well as chess, backgammon. Battery operated devices should be avoided simply because underprivileged children and their parents can't afford replacement batteries.

Doug, thanks for the "heads up" on the teen games thing.  Now, can someone tell me what is an appropriate toy/game for a teen that does not involve X-boxes and Nintendos?

I, for one, am going to start digging out the Christmas decorations to decorate my bike.

O Come All Ye Cyclists. This ride is police escorted so nobody gets left behind and we can legally run red lights and stop signs. Some bikes are decorated and some riders are in Santa suits. There is always a shortage of toys/games for teens. Try to avoid stuffed animals and toys/games that require batteries. I've been looking forward to this ride since I did it last year and this year I will be pulling my B.O.B. cargo trailer full of toys. Free bacon and scrambled egg breakfast to follow at Mystic Celt.

Hard to believe but December 14 is less than 6 weeks from now! Time to start shopping for that toy!
