To second this notion...I think this looks like it's going to be a great ride and would love to join if I didn't have another commitment that weekend.  The hosting org has experience organizing these rides all over the country.  From The Chainlink newsletter,** here is more info:

This week, Chainlinkers can register to team-up and cycle through Illinois and Wisconsin for healthy lungs and healthy air.  Our friends at The American Lung Association are leading the ride for better breathing, taking on scenic routes for 150-50 miles on June 14 -16 on the 2013 Fight for Air Ride.  Sign up solo or gather a team and try to out-pun you fellow cyclists with team names like “Bichael Jordan” and the “Air Heads.”  We on the Chainlink like the ALA’s mission of improving health and preventing disease.  This organization works across the USA and makes a home here in Chicago, where they are supporters of the Chainlink community.
