I had a guy on a Divvy bike hit me up for change for food once and I asked him if he was so broke how he got the bike and he answered "sometimes they are loose".  So if you / friends get one make sure you get it back in the rack nice and tight.  

Looking forward to seeing the first divvy bike identity obscuring cover painted lime green or purple.

Yes, there are 'loose', free ones out there. I'm glad other people are also noticing them.

I've found a couple loose ones this winter. Took a few tries to re-dock.

I usually double-check, even when I get a green light, but it might have happened to me too. I docked a bike, and could of sworn that I got the green, but when I came back and tried to get another bike, my key wouldn't work. Called Divvy and they set it right.
