Metra Blackouts next weekend

So, I'm going to Lolla, blah blah blah and immediately the next day (Saturday) I'm planning to go to Wisconsin! Unfortunately... BIKE BLACKOUT even on outbound trains D:

Has anyone ever had any luck disassembling their bike and fitting it in a box and bring it aboard a train? I would ride it but I'm headed up to Kenosha with a non cycling buddy.
