My wife knows that guy -- he graduated from the high school where she teaches. I think the police determined that, based on his injuries, he fell.

Uhh, no. Heck, the time I was VERY VERY STUPID and started biking to work with faulty brakes, my brakes failed at the worst possible time, and I collided into a car and flew about five feet past my bike. And you know what? I was fine. I needed physical therapy for a couple of weeks, but that was it. Don't try to tell me this poor kid just FELL OFF HIS BIKE.

My guess, judging by how the police are behaving: he was hit by a police car.

Joshua Rodriguez's wallet is missing. Could this have been a hit-and-run robbery?

Sadly, there is an equally likely possibility that someone just took Joshua's wallet while he was lying on the ground dazed or unconscious.

People keep talking about him being on a bike, but wheres the bike?  What does it look like?  It seems to me that there could be some clues there.  My experience is that if there's a significant encounter with a vehicle, bikes tend to get mangled.  If his bike is all bent up, probably there was in fact a collision.  If not, the probability tends to swing in the other direction.  If there's no bike to be found, which I'm beginning to suspect, other possibilities arise.  Curious.  So where is it?
