Hey there Sting-Ray groupies. I just joined the group. I'll have to post up some pics of my bikes soon. I have a few Sting-Ray parts bikes, an Apple Krate and a Fastback. Plus miscellaneous Sting-Ray accessories.

That's a fine idea.

Fixing up this 1972 Manta-Ray. I'm hoping to ride it in the July Critical Mass.

I'm ditching my schwinn fair lady stingray. She has too many problems for me to fix, and is too cumbersom to take into working bikes, etc. Free for pick up in lakeview for anyone interested.

My first stingray. It was an original 63 red standard bike. I purchased it used and damaged in late 64 for $5.00. the seat was ripped. the front wheel was locked with another bike, and half the spokes were ripped out. My first wheel repair, was replacing the broken spokes. the thing was not the truest wheel, but it was good enough to get by. (no front brake to worry about) I had a frame that was the same, from another model bike around when my father was painting car rims for his snow tires to match his 64 chevy. My spare frame was prepared for paint (as I knew at the time). My dad painted my frame too. I was in stingray heaven . A custom color. No one else had it. (Aqua) My paper rought money all went to a matching metalflake seat cover (bananna seat), and an ultra tall sissy bar. (like my fastback now) My next modifacation was a bigger front sprocket from a higgins. that made my top end greater. My friend with a three speed couldn't dust me. Life was good, until some asshole in 65 stole it from my yard. Lock your stuff up the best you can.

There's also the girl's Bantam version in Bicentennial dress, which I have been trying in vain to sell on Craigslist.

Hey, Cool Frankenfastback. I'm finally getting around to posting pictures of the fleet. The Fastback pictured down in the bike dungeon and the other two outside and ready to ride.
