Jefferson Park: Public Meeting on Milwaukee Ave Complete Street Project

Ald. Arena and CDOT will be hosting an open house to talk about the Milwaukee Ave. Complete Street project in Jefferson Park and solicit feedback from the public. The project will run on Milwaukee from Lawrence to Elston. If you care about improving this area for walking, biking, and transit you should come out and share your thoughts!  

Here's the event information from Ald. Arena's website: 

"Please join the Chicago Department of Transportation and me for a public open house meeting on the Milwaukee Avenue Complete Streets Project between Lawrence and Elston.

The meeting will be Wednesday, July 2, from 5 pm to 8 pm, at the Copernicus Center, 5216 W. Lawrence. You do not need to come for the whole meeting; attendees can come at any time to learn about various aspects of the project. 

The purpose of the Milwaukee Avenue Complete Streets Project is to improve traffic safety and balance the needs of all street users. CDOT representatives will review comments from the previous public meetings, present benefits and impacts of design alternatives and collect your comments and suggestions."
