Description

Hey Folks!  Yet again and in this ride's sixth year, we are going to get our wheels rolling for a three day tour through Wisconsin.  The ride is in support of the Wounded Warrior Project and we're set to ride for our nation's soldiers.  It's a 175-185 mile ride with two camping stops along the way.   Camping fees and a donation towards "Wounded Warriors" are required.   Riders will receive a black bracelet showing the WWP website and a character trait – Duty, Honor, Courage, Commitment, Integrity, Country, and Service.

THIS RIDE IS NOT A RACE.  We get there when we get there, safe and sound, and in time to get a good meal and a good night's rest.

Riders are asked to contact me 2 months to 6 weeks in advance so we can arrange for a pre-ride meeting and planning session.

Help raise funds for the Wounded Warrior Project:

Plan your trip; tour maps are located here:

Typically the ride costs $70, combined with campsites and transportation to O'Hare (downtown Chicago might be available) from the University of Wisconsin student union on the Van Galder/Coach USA bus.

For the ride back - Van Galder offices ( 800-747-0994 ) are only open on Saturday and Sunday on Memorial Day weekend, however they will have the schedule set on Sunday for single and double decker buses.  Early buses will likely be single decker going to either downtown Chicago or O'Hare.  Later buses will likely be double deckers, but O'Hare buses are mostly single decker capable of carrying a bike.  ALSO, the buses now depart from the Chasen Art Museum on the UW campus.

"Stopped they must be; on this all depends. Only a fully trained Jedi Knight, with the Force as his ally, will conquer Vader and his Emperor. If you end your training now - if you choose the quick and easy path as Vader did - you will become an agent of evil." - Yoda, from The Empire Strikes Back.  :-D  Those detours, man...and then we backtracked to see the bridge???  We're nuts....

Over and done!  Just a little over 200 miles for me counting the trip to the start point and from downtown back home.
