This isn't something you have to be on time for I hope? Still at work...ughh...but the overtime is good and I will be ready for a drink when I am done.

Perfect, Cameron! You are aiming for the walkway that comes off the top of the D in Museum Campus Dr. If I was home I'd so some shading and such to show the exact path.

Re: where you come out-- it's right at the number 547.

I guess Indiana is called 18th over there.

This information will self-destruct in 12 hours-- Da Mare doesn't really want non-Prarie District dwellers to know about this.

It's almost immediately south of Soldier Field. It's a long way further down to McCormick Place. It may be easier to find going the other way the first time.

the turn off is between soldier field and mccormick place, right?

Thanks H3N3- I believe between my bf & I we will be able to follow your directions as they seem pretty clear to me- we really appreciate it! The event sounds like fun and a great way to meet and get to know our fellow cyclists.

If you take the lakefront trail there is a wonderful way to get to 18th street. Unfortunately it is a little hard to describe.  I'll try:

Just after you pass Soldier Field stay right. Make sure you cross to the west side of the main drive. You will see a parking structure off to the right and a sled hill ahead. Take the path that curves west and down toward the parking structure =before= the sled hill. Follow it through the underpass, over the foot bridge that goes over the Metra tracks, through the underpass, exit on Indiana. Follow the street (or the near sidewalk) north and then as it curves west and *boom* you're on 18th street. It's continuous to Halsted-- you have to jog about 100 feet north at Halsted to continue west on 18th. Simone's comes up in a few blocks. You'll see bikes. Please post any need for clarification.

We are thinking about attending this event as my bf & I have been on the chainlink for a while now and really only have met a handful of people in real life once. Could someone suggest a good route to Simones? (I am a northsider and not familiar at all with the south side) I would be coming from my office near Chicago and State Street- could we take the Lakefront Path, and if we did, where would we exit off of it at? Otherwise, I did a direction search and google suggests going down Halsted to 18th as a route, but doesn't suggest the lakefront at all. Thanks!
