Description

There are jillions of festivals in Chicago every summer, but they all lack one thing - people in their pajamas. This injustice is being corrected with the First Annual Pajama Ride, a rip-roaring, rolling festival/parade in the most comfortable style there is. If you are taking part in the L.A.T.E. ride later that night, it is a perfect start. If you are not, then you are all set for bed.

Whatever you wear - t-shirt, underwear, flannels, nightie, footie pajamas, bathrobe or whatever, just bear in mind that we are stopping at public establishments and will be out on the streets. If you snooze au naturel, get creative and wear something suitable for you. Your favorite "loungewear" perhaps. Don't forget your slippers and nightlights!

Stops will be made at:

Hamburger Mary’s
MYSTERY STOP!
Corner Bar
Motel Bar
Bull & Bear
Crimson Lounge
Liquid Lounge

then proceeding to Grant Park for the start of the L.A.T.E. ride.

Meet up at Gannon's any time after 5pm, ETD is 6!

Aww, what a silly good time! Lotsa honking and pointing and funny looks. It got even more crazy when people saw my crazy getup in Boystown. Thanks for the fab idea, John!

I was late to this ride. I feel like crying. I hope that next time I'll be more prepared to arrive on time. Hope the rest of you enjoyed the ride.

Construction on Wilson didn't stop me this morning! We will take our pajama party to the sidewalk if necessary! The bike is equipped for slumber! I will be flying the stars and sheeps with pride!

The countdown is on, Pajama Riders. Prepare your favorite sleepwear for riding on a beautiful evening. We will depart from Gannon's at 6pm. If you can't make it before then, text me at the number posted earlier.

The Folk and Roots Festival will not stop us.
BurgerFest will not stop us.
Transformers 4 filming will not stop us.
Weekend louts and cabdrivers will not stop us.

We wear pajamas and ride bikes!

Hopefully the route avoids movie filming areas.

The route has been trimmed slightly and stops adjusted for capacity and cooperation. Who wouldn't want 30 people in pajamas showing up at their place of business on a Saturday night?

Come to Gannon's suitably attired, and we will depart at 6pm. This should be quite an evening. . .

Riding out in the country somewhere. Don't own pajamas anyways. Not sure (most) people would want to see me in what I sleep in anyways.
