Due to unpredictable weather conditions this coming Sunday I’ve rescheduled this tour for Saturday, March 31st. I know many of you are all-weather cyclists but I really felt it wouldn’t be as fun if everyone couldn’t attend. The tour needs to be safe and fun for all. I will be adding another major highlight in place of the parade portion of the tour. If you have signed up for the tour and the reschedule date doesn’t work for you, you are welcome to attend any other tour this year in its place, just let me know in 2 weeks advance if the new date will not work.

Looking forward to seeing everyone very soon

We are about 2 weeks away from Adventure Cycling Tours official 2018 event. Don't forget Errol Magidson will have books and DVDs on hand from his great work researching and documenting Chicago's Only Castle: The History of Givins' Irish Castle and Its Keepers. Portions of the proceeds from the tour and items will help fund future restoration projects planned for the castle.

One of the highlights of this Adventure Cycling Tours event will be exploring inside The Givin’s Irish Castle and meeting with Errol Magidson, author of “Chicago’s Only Castle: The History of Givins’ Irish Castle and It’s keepers.” which can be found on Amazon https://tinyurl.com/y989kmul

Errol is providing us a presentation covering material in his book and dvd. The castle was built between 1886-1887 and is nestled up on the highest ridge in Chicago. I found an article from 2013 where you can learn more about the geology of the ridge and how it was formed. I’m sure more info on this topic can be found at the Ridge Historical Society. https://tinyurl.com/ybbnpkvu
