The Chainlink

You blew the red light east bound on Lawrence at Damen at 5:26 pm this evening.

There was enough time for the biker in front of me to make it half way into the intersection, northbound on Damen, before you came whizzing past my front wheel.

I yelled "You're an idiot!" at your big haired chick, self, and you looked back at me. I meant it!

I woulda testified for any of the cars, that managed to not kill you, if they had.

Keep riding like a tard!

love,

gabe

Witness bad behavior during your commute? Feel free to post. Maybe that lovely human can read it and think they are famous. Maybe you can also inspire the whole generation of kids to shower but we can start with small things.

I have seen them and yeah but usually my evasive manuvers are such that I wouldn't have time for that. Plus I have a front rack and brakes so my space up front is maxed out.
You'd think my 2 flashing lights would be enough to see me. My voice is loud enough, for now.
Did a CCM with the group of riders from Humboldt park, and yeah they are loud they did a good job of "honking" back at drivers.

Hahaha... I do that too. It's called "getting in the last word", and I like to think it keeps a motorist from thinking he won the argument. (Am I being too hostile? ^_^ )

The space requirement was a little bit of an issue as my bike must fold twice daily, and occasionally the front rack needs to come off. I don't have to waste time hunting for the button, though, 'cause it's right under my thumb!

That's right. NO toleration of any bullshit on the road today !
To the police officer at the Montrose Ave LFP crossing why yes I do know the rules of the road, perhaps it is you that needs the refresher.

Don't hide yourself from NB bike pedestrian traffic and then jump out to scream at us when we ride across the path, with ROW.

I'm afraid I've lost a lot of confidence that the police have any sympathy for cyclists since I saw six of them riding the wrong way on the Jackson Blvd bike lane a couple weeks ago.

Thanks for pointing out the light was changing, you're the only cab on Lasalle and actually the only vehicle as well but if you hadn't noticed the financial district on a Sunday is empty, closed but tomorrow when you cross 3 lanes to cut me off for a fare...stfu.

Well...I had my first wreck in four years of commuting on the LFP early this morning.  Me, riding southbound approaching the Oak Street curve at a moderate but safe speed.  You, running southbound in the same area until you decided to double-back and run north without looking over your shoulder.  After a few minutes of tinkering, I was able to straighten my wheel/brake issue out.  The blood came off in the shower.  Now, I'm just really sore.  You were appropriately apologetic and no doubt hit hard enough to learn not make the same mistake again.  All things considered, it could have been much much worse.  I just wish people were more heads-up on the LFP.

Ouch! Hope you feel better soon. That really sucks. I have seen so many joggers, walkers, cyclists, etc. not look when turning/moving to the left on LFP, I assume they will (which also kinda sucks).

Thanks Yasmeen.

To the lady on the Divvy riding SB on LFP Saturday along the Playpen what happened? One moment you are riding, the next you are on the ground. We could not quite figure out what was going on add there was no one near you.

I found that to be true all along Wells in the morning - the food and beer trucks are lined up in the bike lane to unload. I don't know that they have a viable alternative unless they make a change to clear parked cars for a "loading zone" window of time during the day.
