Information

Chicagoland Beer Exploration Society

Every member of the Society (CBES) should aspire to have a beer at every brewery or brewpub located in a day or two bicycle ride distance from Chicago (and, of course, within the city limits).

Naturally, preferable way of getting to is by bike, as for riding back . . . whatever is available, train, bus, horse and buggy, depending on amount of beverages consumed at the destination.

Ride the River DPRT ride posted for Oct 24. Stops are Tighthead and Only Child Brewing with potential for bonus stop at Zumbier!

Hoping for a repeat of last year's superb weather and trail conditions.

there's an imax in hodgkins, too. which i've actually ridden to. (i wouldn't call it scenic.) there seem to be more votes for sun., so i might just pre-ride my change of pace ride on sat. and try to be back for (the beginning of) tiny tiki. anybody want to come with?

Doing the Tiny Tiki ride with Su on Saturday. Don't think I can make Sunday either.

If you guys ride back from Hodgkins Saturday then stop at the Paradise Club on Belmont and Harlem to join us for a few drinks. We expect to get there about 7. It's the best Polish Tiki Dive bar in Chicago!

Hodgkins has a UPS sorting facility and less than 2,000 residents.

Sunday is better for me.  Never even heard of Hodgkins.

Not Saturday, maybe Sunday.
