Information

Chicagoland Beer Exploration Society

Every member of the Society (CBES) should aspire to have a beer at every brewery or brewpub located in a day or two bicycle ride distance from Chicago (and, of course, within the city limits).

Naturally, preferable way of getting to is by bike, as for riding back . . . whatever is available, train, bus, horse and buggy, depending on amount of beverages consumed at the destination.

On Twitter, here.

Lists of breweries and brewpubs (and other beer things): on Facebook, and on Twitter.

Clock Tower is in Lincoln Park near the lake.  The actual park, not the neighborhood.  Its between Irving Park and Addison.  You can see it from the bike path.  Its a pretty big building.

I'll hopefully join the ride on Sunday. Living in Lake Bluff, I would take the Metra to meet at the start at 10am. Sure wish I lived near, or even knew where the clock tower is. Any help?? Beer's on me for the first correct answer.

Sunday (May 31) ride from Clocktower to Lake Bluff Brewery. Who's in?

Leave around 10 a.m. Can train back (station right next to Brewery or ride back, depending on beer conditions).

Has anyone tried Scortched Earth? Just noticed that it's a mile or so out of the way from this weekend's Foxy Onion ride and thinking to stop there.

Likewise July 18th is a possibility. June 13th I'll be in St Louis.

July 18th is better for me.
