Take it inside so you can look for that little piece of wire that's in exactly the same spot and just far enough in the tube to give it a slow leak...that's like 4 or 5 so far all exactly the same.

Who knew Chicago had so much teeny pieces of wire hiding in the snow, the loop, lincoln park, wicker park, wrigleyville.

My last flat was from exactly such a piece of wire :) Bugger would have been a bitch to find without putting the tube in a bowl of water!

Nice..if you live in the city! In the suburbs one might be lucky enough to be close to a business where one could get indoors for a bit. When not pedaling your heat generation rate can drop fast and you may get hypothermia. Mostly I pick routes that avoid business areas for traffic/safety reasons so it is likely any bike malfunction or crash will be quite a dangerous scenario in polar vortex type temperatures. That is my main reason for not riding in those conditions.
