Sounds more like a problem with your seat.  Maybe get another seat?  Wool thermals might also help.  AND if you don't ride with a chamois pad, that is another possible answer.

Pressure can cause numbness on the three spots that contact your bike: your feet, hands and crotch. Numbness can be confused with cold. Seat allignment or position of your body to lessen the pressure may be the answer for poor Jimmy.

When you cycle while wearing cotton jeans, you'll find over time the material in the (friction/contact area) groin will wear out first and develop holes. In colder temps you will feel a wind chill draft especially if you are going commando.Time to buy new jeans.

FWIW, I've never had this problem. I wear jeans, which are warmer than you might think, and use a leather saddle.

I've experienced this unfortunate problem with certain combinations of underwear and jeans that seem to line up to create a pathway for wind. Then it's like your thighs funnel all the cold air directly to where you do not want it. The trick is to block the wind, either with skivvies that don't have a flap to let the cold air in or with some outer layer - on very cold days, I wear rain pants that also happen to block the wind.

Yeah, it seems like justice that we're making his lemon into lemonade though.  :-)

Ya, for sure!  $17 is a deal! How much was it for the broken toaster oven?
