The Chainlink

Hey all,

Does anyone know of any bike shops or bike clubs that do indoor bike training rides during the winter. I used to ride my trainer at a bike shop during the winter with a dozen others, but that was before I moved to Chicago.

Any suggestions on where I might find something like that would be great.

Best, Jared

there are several, HPI is located near Irving and Ravenswood- Well fit is a tri based club but they have a nice computrainer set up. and then there are several others

Pedaling with a purpose will be at BFF Bikes this winter. They are on Armitage in Bucktown.

Thanks for the responses. I think pedaling with purpose is exactly what i was looking for. Which is, essentially a nice group of people to ride with indoors, on our trainers. I can do it at home, but thats no fun. Just looking for a place where a group of people get together to ride indoors (not really a coaching or training facility that is expensive)

I did it last year at Let's Roast Bike Shop with a few Chainlinkers and it was always a great workout.

Kristen Meshberg, the coach, is very motivating while allowing you go at your own pace.

MOX is good and Im pretty sure FFC also has computrainer classes.  PwP is filled up in Chicago but theres a waitlist.

ps -- riding out side is certainly an option too.  There are still teams training outside.  msg me if you want details.
