The Chainlink

Hmmm, its getting a little chilly these days. Ominous, indeed. Are we in for more brutality this season or will we get a pass like we did over the winters between snowmageddon and last winter?

I have no idea. But I'm prepared! Got this baby at Dick's Sporting goods. Only cost me $5,795.00 with the external environmental back pack. They didn't carry it in any safety color I preferred and sizing is not exactly perfect, but -30 wind chills? Heh, no problem. I figure its a good investment given that I can also wear it on public transportation to avoid any Ebola concerns.

and when you get off the bike and walk into a room whether its the office, your home or a watering hole, you will make a statement. Heads will turn, people will notice.

The feet are not shown in picture. Did you buy the model with SPD cleats plus the optional ice extractors?

And I thought I was a pessimist....

I think you might need it tomorrow.  I  hope it has some sort of jet propulsion built in to counteract the winds!

Wait really? I'd love an option like this.

I looked all over the Dick's site and it's no where to be found. I tried calling a few stores and they basically laughed at me...which one did you go to? I would be very interested in this and want one before the temps drop below freezing. Please help.

Will tomorrow come close my favorite commuting day ever from a few years ago?

Waves like that need a strong wind from the north.

If it's not raining in the morning I'm riding in.  Since we're allowed to wear costumes I'm going as casual Friday, which my office doesn't have for some reason...

Hmmm, lets run a Kickstarter drive and see what we can do.

You have to go to the Dick's location in Antarctica to find that particular suit. It's a limited run so they don't advertise it much. SpaceX might have a few prototypes still available but they're much more expensive.

It will be a heck of a tail wind for you.  The going home part, not so much.

Here is the wave forecast for 4:00 tomorrow afternoon:

I'll believe it when I see it, but fingers crossed!

Hmmm, the lake front Oak Street bend is along my normal commute. So you're telling me that in addition to my cool new space suit, I'm gonna need some sort of water safety system as well? Geez, now I've got to rethink this whole thing.

If you see any helicopters hovering over the lakefront at that location tomorrow, you know I had some problems getting to work.

CAN YOU PLEASE BE SERIOUS FOR ONE MINUTE? I don't even understand how they could have a store there? Are you being a troll or are you being serious? If they do, are you sure they would even ship back to the US? Can you just post a link?

I don't appreciate your tone, Joe. If you get pleasure out of joking like this, that's pretty sick.

Good day for a helmet; stay away from the wall!
