Looks like we are really going to need the rain gear going home.

Do you have a caddy to hold it over you while you ride?

I wish. I was out sick yesterday and am still not firing on all cylinders. Might not ride again until next week. We shall see...

Wow. I got wet beyond belief. And I rode only 2 miles from the train home...

It rained hard and the amount of standing water was amazing.

Was today National-Get-A-Flat day by chance? First Mrs Duppie texted me that she had a flat when leaving for work, then on my way home, I got a flat. My first in 2.5 years and 10k miles. Grrrr...

Why is it that I get more into biking as it gets colder?  Last year did pretty well considering it was like -30 for weeks.  I think I stopped in January some time and started back by mid February.   Gonna get some chains this year :)  I fell last year and my back is still reminding me how stupid that was.  Thinking about an adult tricycle,  with chains.   My icicle tricycle!

Instead of a trike, get some studded snow tires. I got a pair of 45NRTH Xerxes after a near laydown last fall on some unexpected ice. Put 'em on when the snow flies. Take 'em off in the spring. Should last ten years (or more). My mileage dropped way off last winter, but I didn't really ever hang up the bike either.
