Gene, I hardly think that one could do a "Gene Tenner best of Summer 2014" show with only six photos!
Lisa, whittling down from thousands is one of the hardest things to do. In the end it comes down to good composition that keeps eyeballs in motion, a major star and supporting cast of elements, striking color, good variety of the sizes of the negative space and non-centered balance. Or, in some cases you just throw it all out, because it is just a cool, unique photo. Thanks for the thoughtful and kind words.

Gene--put that top one into the best of autumn right now!
No work for me today, so I decided to get a few miles in. Lovely ride south on the LFP to Hayes Beach. Thought I might stop to watch the parade on my way back home, but it started to rain! Wet rider went home to dry out. It still was nice to have the path pretty much to myself and to even enjoy some changing colors on the trees.
Gene, beautiful pictures as usual. Rode last night and this morning. Got pretty drenched last night because I decided not to wear rain pants (too sweaty). This morning, rain pants a must! Hoping it dries out later.
Looks like we are really going to need the rain gear going home.
