The Chainlink

Every once in a while I check Craiglist/Chicago for 1). my stolen bicycle, it must be out there somewhere unless it has been ground up and turned into paperclips 2). a "matching" Motobecane to my husband's bike (ca. 1975), but a small to extra small.  They're just both mental exercises.  But yesterday, when I typed in Motobecane, I got a listing, not for a Motobecane, but someone who has over a hundred bikes.  No name, no company address or name, contact by telephone.  What's going on?

Why don't you post a link?

I must admit that I'm in the wrong decade or century when it comes to the internet.  but will try to link the Craigslist Chicago entry to Chainlink.

Nancy

I got 30 listings, all with pictures (http://chicago.craigslist.org/search/bik?query=motobecane).  So that cryptic posting might be taken down.  Also, if it looks suspicious it is suspicious. Be wary of those people who are selling 20-30 bikes, they are probably stolen.

Many thanks - I've seen so many scams over the years - from lost relatives dying in plane crashes and leaving me millions of government money to those easy payments!  Must be a big store room of questionable bicycles.  I have written Julie directly about this Craigslist listing.
