Yes

Just a little wet. If I hadn't stopped to grab a quick bite, I would have dodged it completely.

This evening's ride home felt like November!

Anyone else wear gloves today? Shiver me timbers!

Yeah, I rode. Some knuckleheads decided to try and run over (yes, on purpose, yes seriously) the biker behind me.

So, after I jumped off Milwaukee, onto the sidewalk, I dial 911. The driver of the car (and the passenger) were reacting to the other knucklehead near me that slammed his hand on the car owner's car trunk yelling, "it's a bike lane." Well, that did not settle well because that driver pulled fully into the lane and GUNNED it. I am not sure if he ever hit the back wheel of the biker but he would gun it, stand on the brakes (taunting) and gun it again, etc. and then just lit up the tires and squealed through the intersection of Milwaukee and Elston, turning right on that first side street. I am still not sure how that other biker was not taken out. Of the half dozen others that were in the area. Really.

In the process that driver hit another car (no big deal, just some scratches).

Like I said, I called the cops. And waited. And waited. As of 1+ hour I have not seen or heard from them. Good stuff. Since I had no smashed biker and the hit car didn't want to fool with the issue (hunh?) it was just me. The guy that jumped off the bike, stared down the license plate and then called the cop.

Stay safe out there. And quit slamming your palm on car trunks. The drivers get angry and they drive 3,000# vehicles.

Gene, your pics are nothing less than stunning. Very beautiful. I'm curious about the Rising Buddha collection that recently appeared along the Lakefront trail around Fullerton. Seems like a new addition. This triggered my recollection. Thanks, Gene.

'Tis interesting that you should ask about that one. I gave a bike tour last year about these in Uptown. Below is the press release. You can find out more about Ten Thousand Ripples here.
