Seat Post Clamp Replacement

I over tightened the screw so the thread wore off and I need a replacement for my training bike.

This is what I had:

Should I get a quick release seat post clamp instead?

Mind you, this is not a bike that I'd leave out locked anywhere.

If you're not leaving it locked up outside I don't think it makes much difference. I think I have a spare quick release clamp if you want it.

An aluminum clamp like the one you have will be the cheapest and easiest way. If you're adjusting the seat a bit, or whatever, the quick release may be worth the extra few dollars. I did the same thing to an aluminum one a few years ago and ended up getting the Surly steel clamp so that I wouldn't have to worry about cracking it as much.
