Just saw this in one of the bike selling groups. I've looked around but can't find anyone that had a Pashley stolen though...

  • "Bike Bald" is a community "Fun Themed Riding Group".  We have several themed rides monthly throughout the year, for both Families and Adults & Adult only rides.  All of our rides support Children with Cancer 100%.  We are based in Naperville right near the Metra BNSF train station.  In October (18th) we are holding the first Bike Bald "Tweed Ride" starting at the historic Naper Settlement - riding thru historic Naperville, down the Dupage River bike trail to Knoch Knolls park for a Bonfire & Hayride.  While also offering a stop at the brand new Dupage River Nature Center that will house alot of vintage history of the area.  I am in search of individuals that own vintage bikes that would like to ride with us.  I would like to offer to the public a climpse to the past on bikes.  If anyone knows any one with a Penny Farth please please let me know...Thanks.
  • To receive more information on our themed ride events go to www.BikeBald.com to the friend list and we will send you our full schedule

Chris,

You should join the Meet Up groups. It sort of like Yahoo Group. By joining the Meet Up Groups you can join individual groups of folks that share your interests in cycling or start your own group. It's hard to explain by email but group can be set up for any interest whether for any area of cycling, hiking, the arts, etc. I joined a few groups for outdoor hiking, cycling, etc and whenever a group member knows of or hosts an event for that group an invite is generated to all folks that are members of that particular group inviting member to participate. Joining and membership are free. The URL to the site is: http://www.meetup.com/

Best regards,

Peter

Hey everyone, I have not been around, because I moved to DC! Well the wife moved and I followed :) We are in Arlington, VA.

I'm wondering if any of you know of any like minded groups in the area. I hope to find a great group of friendly people like you guys, I am not sure that is possible. I haven't found anything close the the Chainlink for the DC Metro area yet.

I have found some more formal organizations like Dandies & Quaintrelles, but looking for more laid back groups. Been looking on meetup.com, but can't find any tweeders/seersuckers / old 3 speed riders.
Miss you all
