This is my choice for drying: a small rack and a fan under my desk; the pump is tires, not for drying.

I am thinking my waterproof/hydro-seal hiking tennis shoes were the best investment I have recently made in my (non-specific) cycling 'gear'.

My shoes are dry without any extra work!

Wow. This mornings ride was unpleasantly chilly.

Glad I had my winter boots on today! Started raining for the last 2 miles of my ride in to work.

I didn't get snowed on, but I had the long pants and long sleeves back on, with a jacket for back up... and long wool socks.  was comfortable ride in that outfit.  still strong head wind but not as yesterday.  heard coworker say they saw snow too.  I don't know what is better, this, or 90° of pure sweat... maybe this.  in a perfect world it would be 65°, no wind and clear blue skies everyday... but that could get boring.

Bowed out yesterday, almost didn't ride today. It was hard motivating myself to get out, but I'm glad I did. It was far less unpleasant than I was expecting. Actually I'm kind of regretting not going for some extra miles.

This is how I feel about getting out of bed the past two mornings, let alone spending additional time outside:

Rode with a poncho and shoe covers over my normal work clothes and shoes. I thought it was kinda nice out this morning...

Ha! It took me about an hour to talk myself into it this morning. I just kept looking at the weather forecast, the conditions outside the window, back to the forecast... like a cat on a windowsill, come to think of it.

Taking the subway one day usually gets me back on the bike the next.  Rode in a little rain.  The miserably cold lake is still warm enough to keep it too warm to snow.  Back to wool and boots, though.  And a scarf.  And gloves.  I agree with Lucy, even though it did not snow in the city.

Well, despite the weather, it's still...

NATIONAL BIKE TO WORK DAY!!!  Alright!  How come nobody gave me a free breakfast?  that stinks.

In Chicago, we wait until June for the pit stops and breakfast and BTW rally.  One hopes the weather will be better. :-)
