Nice selfie, Gene!  I wore the rain gear and was hot, of course.  Did not need it until two blocks to get to work.  Then I was glad to have it as the sky opened up again!  They say it will clear up for the afternoon.

Yesterday on Madison in the Loop, a box truck driver was driving very slowly, clearly didn't know where they were going, and was managing to simultaneously block the bus lane and the marked bike lane. I saw this as I was approaching from behind and it was no problem -- I signaled and was passing to the left in a regular lane, when the delivery driver took the opportunity to slide open the window and yell an angry anti-bicyclist comment at me. That made me chuckle.

My favorite thing to do in those situations is blow the driver a kiss. It lets them know how sweet they are.

Oh Man, got pummeled by rain this morning and it felt so good.  Drops just got bigger as I got closer to the loop. I thought I was good on bike accessories, but rain pants w/ no rain shoe covers = waterfall directly into my shoes.   I'm using the newspaper trick and they will def be dry enough for the ride home.

Beautiful ride this morning. The air smelled like mountain air.

Rode with Lee Diamond on one of his fabulous Chicago Neighborhood Bike Tours.  Should have worn sunscreen!

Jennifer, so glad to hear you were out.  Hope you get a chance to ease into it a bit more.

LFP was getting crowded at 9:30 this morning.  But it sure was beautiful.

Only 25 miles for me but I agree that Saturday was a fabulous day to ride.

Didn't get out today, unfortunately. A nice post-storm breeze blowing through the windows. Hope everyone was able to ride at least one of the days!

The most beautiful biking day of 2014 so far.  I got in about 50 happy miles from Andersonville to the South Loop and from Logan Square to the lake.

Everybody seemed to be in a good mood.  Lots of smiles, cute kids on tiny bicycles, etc.

Every day should be like this!

Rode to Division/Oakley around 9 and back south around 1.  So few cars on the street earlier. Breezy and fresh smelling.

Muggy and overcast on the way home, but lots of people out and about to make the ride interesting.

We're into the time of year when I stop at Christy Weber and buy something every trip home...

CAUTION!!!

Loomis bridge going over the Eisenhower/ Blue Line. Saw too many people suddenly getting flats, including myself. Coincidence?

Other than that great ride today!!!

Rode on Saturday and Sunday.  Not too much on Saturday, just a couple miles to the shop and back, but it was really very nice.  Sunday I did 16 miles and it was also nice.  This morning I did 7 miles and it was nice too.  With all this niceness I'm expecting a load of crap to pop up without warning.

(My half and half is dated 4-29-14.  a few floaties in my coffee but it tasted ok.  Ill keep using it till I taste a hint of lemony cheese.  The office has plenty of those little creamer packets that don't require refrigeration if I need a plan b.)
