I am not a dealer, but the supplier I am working with is, and is having a closeout sale. After my mark-up it is $40 above the cost of the Sanyo.

Are you a local dealer/supplier of the IRD hubs?  How can you offer this hub in the class (even the non-disc version) for the same price as the Sanyo?  I assume you are using the H27 for the normal build.

The next option available is the Ird Zero Drag Generator Hub (switchable on and off), which would add $40 to the cost of the class. This hub is also available in non-disc for the same price.

That is an amazing deal.  You are doing a great service to the riding community.

I can cut spokes for you for a modest fee if you want to reduce your leftovers. Spokes are usually 50 to a bag, so you'll end up with quite a few extras, possibly in unwanted or uncommon sizes.

Thanks Ezra, I may take you up on that as a more local option. I budgeted for buying spokes individually, but if a box is needed, or my current stock is available - all the better.

Okay, great. Let me know if I can help, Levi.

We had a great class and had two happy people rolling out the door with lights blazing. There has been some additional interest, so I am setting a tentative date for the next class to be Feb. 8 with a signup deadline of Feb. 2. I'll put up a formal event in the next few days.

In the meantime, we would appreciate feedback about our first class offer and have put together a questionnaire to make it easy.

Saw this too late! Any chance you'll be offering this again soon?

Just a Heads-up, the February 8 class is half full, reserve your spot by Feb 2

Bump for my review of Levi's class:

I took a Hub Generator/wheel building class with Levi of Legacy Frameworks.  I always thought it would be a complex process, but Levi broke it down to basic components, concentrating on teaching me how to do it so I could do it myself, rather than just a one off class to get the hub generator hooked up and working.   Levi's a calm soft spoken guy, which really helps when you are spending hours doing repetitive work, and perhaps redoing that work after you mess up during that learning curve.   I wanted to upgrade the components for the class, and he quoted prices way lower then other shops.   The price I paid for the class and upgrade to a SON/Edelux setup was less than the price I would of paid someone to do it, and I learned how to do it myself in the process!  I couldn't be happier.  I thought I would reuse my brake rotor, but he had a new one sitting around and gave it to me free of charge.     The experience was enlighting, I can only hope one day I could afford a steel disc brake gates carbon drive masterpiece from him in the future.   Another thing- The shop space is rad.   Go for a visit.
