Yeah, I might take a head wind over pothole whack-a-mole.

I was heading north and didn't notice any wind, though there may have been some I cant remember what direction it may have come from.

That's cool someone would buy you coffee.  That would calm my rage I think, if that happened to me.

No incidents this morning, except my boots sticking to my platform pedals.  old work boots and the bottoms are all gummy for some reason.  not wearing them again.

Nice this morning but it'll be rotten with people after work.

Not sure where you people are finding "no wind"...

Fortunately for me, it seems like this will continue through the evening, so I should have a nice push on the way home.

Agreed! Strange how 50 degrees seems to be the on/off switch.

The difference between lakefront and inland . . .

There did not seem to be much wind on the ride from Wicker Park to the Loop.

to the guy who nearly doored me in the West Loop but got out, apologized and bought me a cup of coffee

I rode today and got a flat on my front and rear tires on the LFT.   I subsequently walked and rode the CTA today as well.

I think so, either that or the glass by the theater just north of fullerton.

Almost 3 yrs straight.

Have missed only a handful, I think. No matter the weather.

Missed Monday, due to 2 flat tires enroute to work. Turned around and drove in instead, and bussed home. Man, that was the longest hour of my life !!! I do not understand how the people on the bus can sit there each and every day with the same drole faces/people on the bus. That is just flippin' torture !!!

1 hour, or more = Bus

Under 40 mins = Bike

No contest.

Took the "Barge" on it's first rain ride this morning and it went down a treat. Big tires and front fenders, why did I resist for so long? Minus the light rain, the weather is perfect for riding.
