First commute in of the year - awesome morning!

I don't really like these in between temps.  I tend to overdress, making my ride sweaty and less enjoyable.  it was nice that the three month old ice was finally melting this morning. and I pumped my tire pressure back up and shaved a good five minutes off my time this morning.  good ride except for one car... theres always that one yahoo who has to kill my cycling buzz.

Unfortunately inbound on Elston the same can't be said for cars parking closer to the curb especially between N. Central Ave. and Western.

Felt good to wear less layers. Also the cars are parking close to the curb now, SO MUCH SPACE.

The lakefront path from the north was more like the 'chain of lakes' today.  Someone threw a lot of salt down on the bare pavement, too.

The salt will come in handy tomorrow night when the temperatures drop and it starts snowing.

I'm afraid that path will be better suited for ice skates on Wednesday!

Yeah - I'm not sure what spots like this will look like at mid-teens-to-twenties. Sometimes you end up with rough but passable icy slush. If it's frozen solid it'll be no-go.

I walked today.  Did you?

From the ecstatic high of being on my own bike for the first time since the fall (thanks Divvy!) to the low of a flat tire after only a few miles (and forgetting a spare tube).  Oh well, the LBS that did my spring tune up will fix for free this evening.

More snow is fine with me, as long as it's around on the weekend when I can ski.

WHAT KIND OF FENDERS ARE THOSE?  I WANT SOME FOR MY BICYCLE.  hopefully they come in 26x1.75
