Chicago Area League Cycling Instructor Seminars in 2014

I am delighted to announce that a League of American Bicyclists Cycling Instructor Seminar is scheduled at the UIC Campus, Halsted St. and Taylor St., Chicago, IL, for August 22-24, 2014. 

 

A survey has been posted to determine if there is sufficient interest to hold an additional LCI Seminar in or near Chicago in 2014, and to assess possible attendance on a few dates at a few locations.   Please take the survey if you wish to attend a LCI Seminar in 2014, or if you represent an advocacy organization, bike shop, or other group that plans to send someone to a LCI Seminar in 2014.   Responses by Saturday March 15 will help determine if it is possible to hold more than one seminar this year.

Larry I'm so excited about the class being in Chicago!  Are we supposed to fill out the survey for you to determine if you will offer more classes in 2014 in Chicago?

Hi Julie,

Yes.  It would be a great help if those interested would take the survey.  It will help determine if more seminars are wanted. 

A seminar needs at least 8 but can't have more than 16 (or sometimes 12)  participants. I'm trying to avoid a situation where two are scheduled and one has to be canceled because of insufficient registration, or where one is scheduled and people are turned away because the registration fills up.

The one at REI's Lincoln Park store last November filled in about a week and a number of people had to be turned away.
