The Chainlink

I've wanted to start this thread so many times this year. . . there have been so many beautiful, glorious days this year and each time I think "this is probably the last really beautiful day" and then another comes along.  Take yesterday morning-- what a wonderful combination of warm moist air and all the smells of autumn.

Bouncing this thread to the top heretoforth will be considered a declaration that said bouncer considers the day upon which the bouncing occurs to be the most beautiful day of the year.

I think the thread title needs to be amended to "The most beautiful 3 weeks of the year"

Boy, these last 3 weeks have been beautiful all around. Most days on my way home I find myself looking for excuses to ride the long way home. Sometimes that is riding the lakefront, sometimes that is meandering the side-streets on my way home.

Great photo's

Today wasn't one of them, but we'll hopefully get a few more nice ones.  Here's a couple pics from a ride on a nice day in June.

Today's pretty darned special. Enjoyed a nice ride to lunch today, aside from the deep puddles. I'll take the deep puddles over 5 degrees any day.

The only thing missing from my morning commute was a foot massage. Everything else was...PERFECT!

Today is amazing.

Today was more perfect than yesterday!  These days seem to make up for much of our miserable past weather.

The fog ride this week was just right! Amazing! Today is ok.

Always the contrarian. :-)

Me? Lisa, I will, on this occasion, agree with you to make your last statement false.

Or true? Contrary to the contrary? Contrarian inception? :-)

Didn't ride today but yesterday was simply lovely. I rode in the evening and a T shirt was just fine while the sun was up. On the way home, when it was dark, that  T shirt was supplemented with arm warmers. On both rides I felt a slight chill for the first five minutes and was warm but not overheated the rest of the way.  I was a little sticky but not drenched on arrival. There was minimal wind and maximal happiness.  I wanted to press Control "c" so I can paste those conditions when I pine for them next February.

I love riding in dresses!
