Weather was perfect this morning (I kept thinking I must have left lights on when I went up to the attic-- sun streaming in from every possible direction) but today must be "drive like an idiot" day-- unbelievable chaos witnessed on my short commute.
Lovely ride this morning, just about had the LFP to myself heading south
Commuting from job site to job site on days like this just put a bigger grin on my face.
My wife warned me that it was super cold this morning and that there was a lot of frost on her windshield when she left so I went full-on-winter-gear and got really hot. It's not winter yet! I'm putting the goggles and down-mittens back in the drawer for now.
Cool. I saw Gene taking some pictures on my way in and he may have some more frost for us.
I think today was the "Nice first ride in the COLD". Colder than yesterday, but, as Kelvin said, not down and goggles weather by a long shot. It was cold enough, however, that the tips of my fingers and the tips of my toes were starting to get a little bit cold with my heavier gloves and normal boots with wool socks.
Gene's photos showing us the brilliant, relatively late, color change surely are delightful!
yes
brisk
yeah, goggles not needed but I did bust out the balaclava and warmer gloves. Almost had to steal my husband's thick gloves but last minute found my warm pair. Beautiful ride, esp since I haven't rode nearly as much this fall as I have in the past. Def today's ride put a smile on my face, just like others said.
