The Chainlink

I rode by a non-unformed guy loading up Divvy bikes into a Ryder van the other day and thought it suspicious but was in a rush so I didn't stop.

Today I saw a Divvy-uniformed worker loading up bikes into a Divvy marked truck at my local station and asked him about it.  He laughed and told me that one of their drivers had crashed two of their vans so they had to use a rental in the interim.  Watch out for Divvy trucks. :)

Where is that picture of the Divvy truck crashing a parking meter when you need it?

Here.

Across a bike lane and into a meter. #divvywhoops

Don't assume that because it's a truck carrying bikes that the people driving them are any more responsible than your average Chicago driver.

It's getting so you can't look out the window without seeing a Divvy truck crashing into something.

Thanks Ryan. That's a classic.

I think those Divvy vans should have dashboard cameras running to record all the idiocy that happens on Chicago streets.  The footage of bikers, drivers and pedestrians all making mistakes on the road could be a good teaching tool.  And it'd be fun to see when that Divvy driver crashed a third truck.

How about all the Divvy bikes come fitted with cameras.  That would be interesting footage to watch!
